Some Blogs Thou Findeth.

28 Apr 2010

So I was searching around the Pak Ranks, a website I’m not sure still works since they haven’t sent me the email they promised when I submitted this blog. Anyway.

I found a couple of interesting blogs.

One is BBRD: British Born Rebellious Desi, whose little intro I found so catchy and well written I had to share it. I think its how many Pakistanis feel today.

Good visuals excite me.
The beauty of nature mesmerizes me.
Memories of Pakistan nostalgia-te me.
Position of women worries me.
Chauvinists exasperate me.
Preachers of false dogmas enrage me.
Terrorism sickens me.
Extremists frustrate me.
Moral policing infuriates me.
The lost community baffles me.
Racism saddens me.
Political bastards need to get a life!

You must read beyond this. It seems like a great blog.

I also found The Gori Wife Life – White American Girl meets brown Pakistani guy. Hilarity ensues. And she’s serious, it is hilarious. Worth my not sleeping at midnight like I always promise myself to wake up for class.

The in-law posts are especially good. Relatives are always tricky in desi land.

Just reemphasised my belief that search engines hardly ever lead you to good blogs, its always links. I found BBRD at The Gori Wife Life by the way.
